The Alter of Small Guardians

This painting stages a contemporary myth as a handmade shrine, where ritual, play, and quiet unease coexist. Winged, childlike figures hover between innocence and symbolism, surrounded by candles, totems, and toy-like forms that blur the line between sacred object and childhood relic. Constructed rather than divine, the altar reflects how belief is assembled through memory, inheritance, and imagination, inviting viewers to consider what we choose to honor and how myth endures through objects, stories, and play.
